Last January saw Greek, Croatian and Maltese partners of the Erasmus+ project entitled ‘coMics and IllustRations Augmented to tackle Climate change in primary Education’ – better known as MIRACLE – come together for a teacher training activity in Malta, at MRC St Paul's Bay Primary.
From Friday 26th to Saturday 27th January, participants engaged in discussions about sustainability education, workshops in digital literacy and the use of comics in education, and reviews of teaching methods and materials inspired by the culture of the multinational project – namely climate change consciousness, whole-class co-creation, and eco-optimism in school and out of it. In the spirit of the theme, project partners also got to enjoy a visit to Malta’s old capital, Mdina, on Saturday, and to its sister island, Gozo, on Sunday.
The three-day event was undoubtedly productive and testimony to the creative, hard-working spirit of the MIRACLE team.
More information about the MIRACLE project can be found on its website and LinkedIn page.
