The University

Presently, it coordinates an undergraduate honours programme in communication studies, along with postgraduate programmes in the form of a taught master of arts and a master of arts and a PhD by research. The department also offers a diploma in journalism, and contributes to postgraduate programmes offered by other faculties at the University of Malta. Its different streams of expertise are primarily journalism, design, marketing communications, internet communications, media studies, film and video production, and photography, along with soft skills in communication. The department presently has six full-time posts, as well as a large number of visiting and part-time posts. Above all, it prides itself on encouraging a multi-skilled, multimedia-literate society.
